Questions.

How do I start?

Go to cartflow.com.ng/signup and create your shop. You get a link like yourshop.cartflow.com.ng. That is the address you put on WhatsApp, Instagram, and your status.

Add the brand name, WhatsApp, and the bank account buyers should pay. Then add products with photos and prices. Share the link. You do not need an app store listing or a developer to open the door.

Why it matters: if the shop only lives in your inbox, every new customer starts from zero. A link they can open, browse, and pay on is a store they can come back to — even when you are offline.

How do payments work — and why not hold the money?

On Starter, the buyer transfers to your bank and uploads a receipt at checkout. You open the order, check the receipt, and mark it paid. Growth adds Paystack so they can pay by card or transfer without leaving the shop. Business can add Flutterwave and Stripe (USD) when that shop is ready.

CartFlow never holds your money. It lands in your account. We show you the order and the proof so you can pack with a clear head.

Why it matters: WhatsApp screenshots get lost. A receipt attached to an order number means you are not hunting through chat at 11pm, and the buyer can track the same order later.

Why would I add staff?

Starter is you only. That is fine when the shop is small and you pack every bag yourself.

Growth is two people on the shop: you plus one helper. They can work the dashboard with you so you are not the only person who can confirm an order or update stock.

Business is five seats with roles — Owner, Admin, Packer, Viewer. A packer can move packing and delivery without seeing bank details. A viewer can see orders without changing them. Money and bank stay with the Owner (and Admin on Business).

Why it matters: when sales pick up, one person cannot source, pack, and reply to DMs at once. Staff seats let someone you trust run the floor without handing them your bank app.

How many products can I list — and what are variants?

Starter is up to 20 products. Growth, Business, and Automated have no product cap. If you sell one bag in three colours and four sizes, that is still one product with variants — not twelve separate listings.

Variants (sizes, colours, options) are on Growth and up. Starter is one price per product.

Why it matters: twenty listings is enough to test the link. Unlimited plus variants is how a real catalogue stays tidy. Stock is tracked per size so you do not sell a Medium that is already gone.

Do I get my own website address (yourbrand.com)?

Every plan includes a CartFlow link: yourshop.cartflow.com.ng. Share that from day one. A custom domain like yourbrand.com is not bundled. It is a separate quote, and we set it up. You keep the CartFlow link either way.

Why it matters: the CartFlow link is enough to sell. A custom domain is branding — it looks like your house, not a stall in a market. Pay for it when the brand is ready, not before the first sale.

What does checkout feel like for the customer?

No account. They open the link, pick items, enter name, phone, and address, pay, and they are done. Guest checkout on purpose — WhatsApp buyers will not create another login.

You can set delivery zones (Lekki, Mainland, pickup) with different fees. On Automated, we set guest shipping from the warehouse they are closest to.

Why it matters: if checkout feels like homework, they bounce back to “how much?” in DM. A short guest checkout is how a status view becomes an order.

What is Automated — do I rent a warehouse or a store?

Automated means you rent space in our warehouse or a physical store. Think of a bay or a shop floor, not just a website. You still own the brand and the online catalogue. We hold the goods, pack orders, and ship to your customers.

Getting stock to us is your job. Drop it at the warehouse address. If the goods are coming from the US, UK, Italy, South Africa, or Dubai, we can help inbound — we quote that in pounds or kilograms. Guest delivery fees inside Nigeria are set by CartFlow. Extra warehouses cost extra each month because we hold stock closer to buyers.

From ₦15,000 per month for the first location, plus ₦6,000 for each extra city.

Why it matters: packing and last-mile is the part that burns you out. Renting the space means you sell; we store and send. More locations cut what a guest in that state pays to receive the bag.

Why do orders, stock, and notifications matter?

Every sale gets an order number. The buyer can track it. You see pending, paid, packed, shipped, delivered in one list — not a pile of screenshots.

Turn on auto-deduct in Settings: stock drops when you approve payment and comes back if you refund. Paid orders can email you so you do not miss a sale while you are in traffic.

Why it matters: the classic WhatsApp failure is selling the last item twice. Live stock and a proper order list stop that, and the customer is not chasing you for “has it gone out?”

What is analytics, and who needs it?

Analytics is on Growth, Business, and Automated. You see visits, add-to-cart, paid orders, average order value, and which products actually sell.

Starter does not include it. You can still take orders; you just will not see the numbers behind them.

Why it matters: without numbers you restock what you like, not what people buy. Analytics tells you which bag to reorder and which one is just sitting.
